Body Found Near Palm Springs Walmart, Homicide Suspected

PALM SPRINGS, CA — A body found early Tuesday morning near Walmart in Palm Springs is being investigated as a homicide, Palm Springs police confirmed.

The discovery was made at about 1:22 a.m. in the 5600 block of E. Ramon Road, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, was found with "obvious signs of trauma," police said.

"There is no known threat to the public and no additional details at this time," the department said.
