Charity Golf Fundraiser Tomorrow for Local Firefighter, Palm Desert H.S. Grad with Terminal Cancer

The Sara Thomas Golf Tournament and dinner will be at the Indian Wells Golf Resort.

INDIAN WELLS, CA --- An Indio firefighter diagnosed with stage four terminal cancer is the focus of a golf tournament and dinner event to be held tomorrow, benefiting her treatment.

The tournament's proceeds will be donated to Thomas through the Fire Family Foundation, a nonprofit that provides financial assistance to firefighters and their families. The Sara Thomas Fight Fund, established by the foundation in January, seeks $30,000 to help Thomas with treatment for cancer that has spread to her lungs and liver.
