CHP in Indio Seeks Senior Volunteers
The program is open to people 55 and older, who are willing to work at least four hours a week.

The California Highway Patrol’s Indio station is recruiting senior citizens who want to volunteer to help with administrative tasks, department officials said.
The program is open to people 55 and older, who are willing to work at least four hours a week, have a good driving record and can pass a background check. Training is provided.
“Our senior volunteers bring their knowledge, skills, talents and wisdom to the CHP,” said CHP Commissioner Joe Farrow. “They enhance our operational efficiency and gain an understanding and appreciation of the justice system, human relations and ethics in the field of law enforcement.”
