Coachella Valley's First Law School to Officially Open Thursday

INDIO, CA- A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held Thursday to commemorate the grand opening of the Coachella Valley’s first law school.

California Desert Trial Academy College of Law’s newly constructed campus is located at 45-290 Fargo St.

“Upon admission to the bar, our students will be fully educated, trained and coached to represent their clients on the first day of practice,” said John Patrick Dolan, a local defense lawyer who is president and CEO of the new school.

The facility has three courtroom-style classrooms, a law library and a limited-means legal clinic to provide legal assistance to needy valley residents.

The Thursday ceremony is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. and will include refreshments and tours of the campus.
