Curious About Palm Desert's Art Collection? Free Guided Tours Return This Weekend

City officials say reservations are not required -- just remember to wear comfortable shoes and "come prepared to enjoy and learn."

PALM DESERT, CA — An entertaining and enlightening tradition returns to the City of Palm Desert this weekend with the start of a new season of free, docent-guided public art tours.

On Saturday, September 2, anyone interested in an up-close and informative look at the art at the Palm Desert Public Library in invited to meet the tour guide at 9 a.m. at the Library’s main entrance, located at 73300 Fred Waring Drive.

Held on the first Saturday of the month, September through May, the one-hour docent-guided tours provide interesting facts and insight into Palm Desert’s renowned public art collection.
