“Denim To Diamonds” Online Silent Auction Starts Nov. 7

Press release from the Family YMCA of the Desert: Giddy up and carry on! During this unprecedented time and to observe safety precautions, the Family YMCA of the Desert’s will forego their annual Hoedown at Sundown fundraising event traditionally held the first Saturday of November each year, and will fundraise for their various programs through a “Denim to Diamonds” Online Silent Auction. Starting on November 7th, participants can bid online on a variety of amazing silent auction items through November 20th.

The Family YMCA of the Desert is seeking donations, namely gift certificates, for their “Denim to Diamonds” Online Silent Auction, which is taking place in lieu of their yearly event. Gift certificates from local restaurants will be bundled with other auction items and presented individually to encourage dining out, and support of our local businesses.

The “Denim to Diamonds” Online Silent Auction will run from November 7th through November 20th. There will be a link to the YMCA website available for participants to check out the items for auction with a bidding platform for your favorite item. This auction, traditionally held during the Hoedown at Sundown event attracts a broad range of donated items (both large and small), but restaurant gift certificates are consistently among the most popular items for auction.

Now more than ever, the YMCA needs your help. Each year, the YMCA engages volunteers and community members in support of our Valley’s deserving youth and their families through our annual campaign and our various fundraising events; however, this year is different. Through this online auction we can change children’s lives and future for the good. Supporting the Y directly impacts the lives of our local kids.
