Desert Arc Hosts 9th Annual Golf Classic

All funds collected will directly impact the lives and futures of the people with developmental disabilities served by Desert Arc.

From Desert Arc: Desert Arc, established in 1959, to provide vocational training and services to people with developmental disabilities, will once again host its highly-acclaimed 9th Annual Golf Classic Tournament, featuring a Best Ball format, on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Eagle Falls Golf Course at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino located in Indio, California. Renowned Architect Clive Clark designed the par 72, 6715 yard Eagle Falls Golf Course with challenging water features.

Board Member Nancy Singer will serve as Event Chair of the 9th Annual Desert Arc Golf Classic, along with former Board Member Jay Chesterton, who will serve as Honorary Event Chair. Brooke Beare, Emmy-Nominated Evening Anchor of CBS Local 2 will be this year’s Emcee.

“Our 9 th Annual Golf Tournament will be a spectacular event as the prior ones have been,” stated Event Chair Nancy Singer. “Even if you don’t play golf, we would love to have you join us for the fabulous dinner. I’m so excited to have Jay Chesterton as the Honorary Chair of this event,” Singer continued. “The Desert Arc Golf Classic has clearly grown into one of the more enjoyable events of the year, a day where the finest donors and sponsors in the Valley support one of the most significant organizations in our community,” stated Honorary Chair, Jay Chesterton, former Desert Arc Board Member, and VP, Hotel and Food & Beverage for Fantasy Springs Resort Casino. “ We are once again proud to hold this annual day of golf fun and food delicacies at the stunning Eagle Falls Golf Course at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino. As a former Board
Member, I can attest that your valuable contribution will directly impact and enrich the lives and futures of the 700 people with developmental disabilities served by Desert Arc,” Chesterton continued. Entry fee to participate is $ 250 per person, which includes a round of golf, a delicious BBQ lunch and a buffet dinner with an open bar. The silent auction will feature many fun items including golf, travel and restaurant offerings. Dinner only tickets are available at $ 75 per person, and there are also numerous sponsorship opportunities available starting at $ 150 for a tee sponsorship all the way up to $ 10,000 for Presenting Sponsor. Proceeds raised will help fund various Desert Arc programs. “Every year, our loyal participants return to play in our Desert Arc Golf Classic because it is a fun day with proceeds going to avery worthwhile cause,” stated Richard Balocco, President & CEO of Desert Arc. “We greatly appreciate the community’s participation in this event, as well as, sponsorship support, enabling Desert Arc to continue to provide the much-needed services and programs for the developmentally disabled population within the Coachella Valley,” Balocco continued. This significant fundraising event will commence with a BBQ lunch starting at 11:00 a.m., followed by a Shotgun Start at 12:30 p.m., concluding with a buffet dinner and silent auction at 5:00 p.m.
