Desert Town Hall Awards Thousands In Scholarships To Local Youth

From The Board of Directors of Desert Forum: The Board of Directors of Desert Forum, Inc. is pleased to announce Desert Town Hall’s 2018 Youth Ambassador Scholarship recipients.

“These young men and women are passionate students, demonstrated leaders, dedicated to their community, and driven to make the world a better place,” said Desert Forum Board President Keith Goff.

“The Youth Ambassador Scholarship was established for two purposes,” he continued, “to foster and support higher education among Youth Town Hall student leaders, and to acknowledge and reward the contributions youth ambassadors make to their peers among the desert’s 22 area high schools.”

Scholarships this year include four $1,000 awards presented to Andrew Vasquez (Shadow Hill High School), Carlos Arias (Rancho Mirage High School), Isaac De Lira (Amistad High School), and Justin Wickstrand (Xavier Prep).

Eleven $500 awards were presented to Aaraya Vizl (Horizon), Andrew Hunter (La Quinta High School), Daniel Alvarado (Cathedral City High School), Disneiruby Espinoza Parra (Cathedral City High School), Essence Vizl (Horizon), Hayley Abdelnour (Palm Desert High School), Jordan King (Palm Valley School), Maria Carmona (Indio High School), Michael Andre Barajas (Xavier Prep), Reina Rover (Xavier Prep), and Thalia Molina (Coachella Valley High School).
