Desert X Art Exhibition Organizers Holding Talk On 2019 Edition

The inaugural Desert X drew more than 200,000 visitors during its nine- week run.

PALM SPRINGS, CA — The organizers behind last year's inaugural Desert X art exhibition will be in Palm Springs Friday to discuss what might be around the corner when the exhibit returns to the desert in 2019.

"Curating the Next American Desert" will feature Desert X 2019 Artistic Director Neville Wakefield and co-curators Amanda Hunt and Matthew Schum delving into what form Desert X will take next year, when artists from around the world converge on the Coachella Valley.

The inaugural Desert X drew more than 200,000 visitors during its nine- week run, with 16 valleywide, "site-specific" exhibits on display from as far west as the Whitewater Preserve to as far east as Indio, according to organizers.
