DUI Arrest After Driver Hits Parked Car In Palm Desert: Deputies

PALM DESERT, CA — A 48-year-old Palm Desert woman was arrested Sunday for suspected impaired driving after deputies were called to Highway 74 in Palm Desert, where the female allegedly drove off the road and hit a parked car, authorities said.

Officials responded at 5:12 p.m. to the report of a collision on the 45900 block of Highway 74 and subsequently arrested the motorist, Collen Cosner, allegedly determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said.

Investigators said Cosner was driving a white Ford sedan that veered off the road and struck a parked vehicle, deputies said.

After being medically cleared at a local hospital, Cosner was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio for suspicion of driving under the influence.
