Earthquake Rattles Riverside County — Did You Feel It?
The early morning shaking was felt across the Coachella Valley and as far south as San Diego.
BANNING, CA — Residents in Riverside County were rattled out of bed early Tuesday morning by a 3.4 magnitude quake epicentered near Banning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The temblor struck 5.1 miles northeast of Banning and 8.9 miles northeast of Beaumont at 4:55 a.m. Tuesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Residents reported shaking as far away as Corona, Palm Desert and San Diego.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was nearly 3 miles deep.

No injuries or damages were reported. There was no immediate report of noteworthy aftershocks Tuesday morning.
