El Paseo to Host Fashion Week and Food & Wine Festival
El Paseo Shopping District will be the location for the 12th Annual Fashion Week and the 7th Annual Food & Wine Festival in Palm Desert.
From FG Creative: El Paseo Shopping District, the desert's premier luxury shopping and dining destination, will be the location for the renowned 12th Annual Fashion Week and the exciting 7th Annual Food & Wine Festival, both taking place in March. In addition, live music at The Gardens takes place throughout the month and numerous cultural activities are scheduled for First Weekend on El Paseo.
Welcoming back City of Palm Desert’s First Weekend, on Friday, March 3, El Paseo Cruise Night features classic cars traveling the avenue from 4 to 6 p.m.; and the popular El Paseo Art Walk takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. with art galleries holding special receptions and staying open extended hours. Notably, CODA Gallery is holding an artist reception with Ben Steele and Charley Snow, including acoustic music and benefitting Animal Samaritans with the purchase of wines by the glass made available by Organic Wine Exchange. Participating shops on El Paseo also stay open extended hours on Friday night of First Weekend.
The Gardens 19th Annual Concert Series continues with three concerts on Saturday evenings from 5 to 6 p.m.OnMarch 4, Desert Sol performs, benefitting Angel View; on March 11, Patrick Sieben performs, benefitting United Cerebral Palsy; and the series concludes this season on March 18, with John Stanley King Band, benefitting Jewish Family Service of the Desert. Tickets cost $15 and include a lawn seat, two glasses of wine, and lite bites.

The exciting 12th Annual Fashion Week El Paseo, the largest fashion show on the West Coast, is March 18 – 25. There will be a slate of glitzy and glamorous shows in The Harsch Investment Properties Tent at The Gardens on El Paseo. This premier fashion event presents runway shows featuring a star-studded line-up of top designers from across the country, including exciting trunk shows, and more.
During the entire week a wide variety of retailers will be showcasing the spring season’s latest fashions, along with in-store events including informal modeling, trunk shows, receptions and other exclusive Fashion Week fun. For additional information and tickets, visit here.

The Palm Desert Food & Wine festival, presented by Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa, takes place March 24 – 26, in the heart of the El Paseo Shopping District. Organized by Palm Springs Life and featuring special James Beard Luncheon emcee Gail Simmons, Food Expert, Food & Wine’s Special Projects Director and judge on Bravo’s “Top Chef,” the event presents some of the world’s best chefs, vintners, and craft brewers from across the country. The event begins on Friday, March 24, with a James Beard Gourmet Four-Course luncheon expertly prepared by celebrity chefs.
The luncheon is followed by two days of Grand Tastings, featuring delectable morsels from more than 40 restaurants, created by renowned chefs from all across California and the country. More than 60 premium wines and champagnes will be offered and attendees can interact with the vintners and chefs. For every ticket purchased, 35 meals will be provided to FIND Food Bank, which provides food assistance and basic essentials to those in need in the local community through a network of agency members. Outside of the numerous events in March, El Paseo offers an abundance of dining and shopping options every day with over 250 retailers and nearly 40 restaurants. Among celebrated retailers are boutiques for men and women, home furnishings, and accessories from shoes and handbags to jewelry, collectibles, as well as fitness facilities. A variety of exceptional restaurants offer something for everyone, from casual dining and American cuisine, to fine dining and extraordinary cuisine.
