The Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center (CVWBC) will continue with its new five part series on January 18, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the CVWBC office at 77-806 Flora Road in Palm Desert. The title of the third workshop in the series is, “The Secrets of Influencing, Persuading, and Convincing Others”. The cost for this workshop is $20 with online registration. Registration for the workshop must be completed by end of business of January 17. To register online, visit the CVWBC website at www.cvwbc.org. For more information, call 760.345.9200.
In this third part of the series, instructor Glenn Scott will begin by examining each step of the purchase process, what a typical prospect would need in order to move forward to the next step in the process, and how to facilitate those conditions. In exploring this, the subsequent discovery of the fact that the prospect’s reasons for doing or not doing something are more important than anything is made abundantly clear.
This workshop will focus on the facts that people love to buy, but hate to be “sold”; that if you try to push a prospect into a sale, they will push back – and if you push harder, they will give you compliance rather than commitment. Mr. Scott will outline why the art of effective selling is really no more than honoring the fact that people will only do things for their reasons, and the sales person is simply a means of helping people get what they want, the way that they want it.
