Final Four Named in COD President Search
Desert Community College District announces four candidates to take over for outgoing College of the Desert Jerry Patton.

The Desert Community College Board of Trustees had narrowed the field to four finalists to replace College of the Desert President Jerry Patton, who retires in June.
"I am incredibly pleased with the outcome thus far," said Bonnie Stefan, Chair of the Board of Trustees who co-chaired the search committee along with Trustee Michael O'Neill. "From the beginning, the committee has been committed to a thorough and equitable process which has yielded an impressive slate of candidates."
The four candidates currently are administrators at other California Colleges. They are:

- Angela R. Fairchilds, Ph.D. – President of Woodland Community College.
- Joel Kinnamon, Ph.D. –Chancellor at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District.
- Arturo Reyes, M.A. – Executive Vice President, Academic and Student Affairs, Solano Community College.
- Andreea M. Serban, Ph. D. – Interim Vice-Chancellor of Education Services, Coast Community College.
Final interviews will take place between May 1 and May 15. Each finalist will spend two days on the campus to meet students, faculty and staff.
The new COD president will be announced during its monthly meeting on May 18.
