International Fencing Comes to Palm Desert

Over 60 fencers from across Southern California will take part in a competition on Saturday at College of the Desert’s Wright Gym. 

Local competitors will represent College of the Desert and The Desert Fencing Academy.  Palm Desert High, La Quinta High, Shadow Hills High, and Xavier College Prep also have students entered. 

Members of the Mexican National Fencing Team will also take part in the competition. 

Sabre competition begins at 9:30 a.m., with foil starting at 10:30 a.m., and epee at 12:30 p.m. 

Admission is free and open to the public.
