'Lessons from Legends' To Connect Preeminent Leaders to CSUSB Palm Desert Campus students

Cal State San Bernardino’s Palm Desert Campus is offering an unprecedented learning opportunity for its students, and is honored to introduce 10 remarkable individuals who will lead one of the campus’s courses this quarter.

Imagine an academic course that brings together preeminent business and cultural leaders, all focused on sharing their stories of success, and sometimes failure. These personal, intimate presentations are designed to inspire students to persevere, take chances and reach for goals they may never have thought possible.

Presenters include:

• Nicholas J. Coussoulis – chairman, Coussoulis Development Corporation;
• Marty Davis – CEO, Cambria Holdings and chairman, Sun Country Airlines;
• Kent McCarthy – founder and CEO, Jayhawk Capital Management;
• Aulana Peters – former commissioner, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission;
• Gregory Renker – co-founder, Gunthy-Renker;
• Richard Rosenfield – co-founder and former co-CEO, California Pizza Kitchen, Inc.;
• Michael Shannon – co-founder and managing director, KSL Capital Partners;
• William E.B. Siart – former chair and CEO, First Interstate Bank of California;
• Randolph C. Steer – former chairman and CEO, Advanced Therapeutics Communications International; and
• Shirley Weis – former chief administrative officer, Mayo Clinic.
