Massage Envy Joins Holiday 'Toys For Tots' Drive

PALM DESERT, CA – Three regional Massage Envy locations are participating through Dec. 9 in a holiday toy drive for needy children in association with the U.S. Marine Corps unit in Twentynine Palms, according to company officials.

The Toys for Tots donations can be dropped off at the following Massage Envy franchises: in Palm Springs at 5220 E. Ramon at Gene Autry; in Palm Desert at 73111 Country Club next to Bristol Farms; and in La Quinta at 79485 Highway 111 at Dune Palms.

The Palm Springs, Palm Desert and La Quinta Massage Envy franchised locations routinely support various community charities and organizations, management said.

“We have a responsibility to be good citizens of our community and are always looking to support causes and events that are important to our employees,” said Holly Lassak, owner of the Coachella Valley Massage Envy businesses. “Our team members in Palm Springs suggested that we get involved with Toys for Tots this year. After all, we live and work in the Coachella Valley. What better way to celebrate the holidays than to give to children?”

Launched in the 1940s, Toys for Tots began when a group of Marine reservists in Los Angeles collected and distributed 5,000 toys to needy children. This led to the Marine Corps adopting Toys for Tots in 1948 and expanding it into a nationwide campaign.
