Mizell Senior Center to Host Annual Senior Lifestyle Expo

The expo will include free flu shots, a rummage sale at Mizell's Aunt Betty's Attic; a free farmer's market; raffle prizes and more.

From Mizell: Now in its 29th year, the Mizell Senior Center is hosting its Annual Senior Lifestyle Expo on Friday, October 5th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – located at 480 S. Sunrise Way in Palm Springs.

The expo will include free flu shots, sponsored by Desert Oasis Healthcare; informational booths by nonprofit agencies as well as businesses representing a variety of products and services; a rummage sale at Mizell’s Aunt Betty’s Attic; a free farmer’s market; raffle prizes and more. Attendees will also enjoy a barbecue lunch for $5 or free to those in Mizell’s meal program.

“This event is a tremendous resource for all seniors of the desert communities,” said Ginny Foat, executive director of Mizell Senior Center. “While we are based in Palm Springs, we are here to serve the entire Coachella Valley. We seek to improve and enhance the lives of seniors with a variety of programs focused on fun, healthy aging, wellness and community participation, and the Senior Lifestyle Expo is one of our most well-attended events each year.”
