Modernism Week's Fall Preview Event Kicks Off In Palm Springs
The four-day event previews the annual festival that focuses on the mid-century modern design and architecture.

PALM SPRINGS, CA — Modernism Week's Fall Preview weekend event kicks off Thursday, offering guests a taste of what's to come during the 11-day festival in February.
The four-day "mini-Modernism Week" from Oct. 14-17 offers more than 50 events across the Palm Springs area, such as house tours, parties and talks, according to event organizers.
It previews the annual festival that focuses on the mid-century modern design and architecture that helps define Palm Springs.

Most notable of the preview's events will be the seventh annual Palm Springs Modernism Show & Sale - Fall Edition, which will offer "more than 45 premier national exhibitors offering vintage furniture, decorative and fine art," according to organizers.
The show will be at the Palm Springs Convention Center on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with tickets costing $20 for both days.

A Preview Party and Early Buying Reception event will be Friday at the convention center from 6 to 8 p.m. and will offer guests the opportunity to buy from dealers prior to doors being opened to the public on Saturday. The Friday night event will cost $75 online or $85 at the door and will include daily re-entry for Saturday and Sunday.
Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test within the last 72 hours is required for entry to the Friday night event but not specified for the Saturday and Sunday show. Masks will be required for the Friday night party and weekend show.
A number of events taking place during the event will also be offered during the annual 11-day festival currently scheduled for Feb. 17-27. Tickets for the February event will go on sale starting Nov. 1 at noon, and will be viewable to the public starting Oct. 25.
