Adam Decaire, Vice President of Network Planning, Southwest Airlines, discussed the addition of more nonstop flights to the Palm Springs airport.

“Our new daily service to San Jose brings a third northern California airport with nonstop service for our Palm Springs Customers,” Decaire said. “This new link connects the Peninsula and Coachella Valley with the time savings, value, and Hospitality that only the People of Southwest can deliver and underscores the kind of investment in California air travel that’s made Southwest the largest carrier within the Golden State for two decades and counting.”

Lisa Middleton, Palm Springs mayor, is encouraged by Southwest's commitment to the airport and the community it serves.

“We’re thrilled to see the continued investment in our community by Southwest,” Middleton said. “Since their arrival, we’ve seen our airport set new passenger records, add more and more nonstop options, and we now have more summer service than ever before. I want to thank Southwest for continuing to grow at PSP.”

Southwest first landed at Palm Springs International Airport on November 15, 2020 and they have increased their footprint at California's desert airport ever since.
