Obama Motorcade Road Closures Announced for RivCo Visit
The president will be in the Coachella Valley this weekend. Take note if you plan on traveling out of PSP.
PALM SPRINGS, CA- An upcoming visit by President Barack Obama to the Coachella Valley will trigger some road closures that will continue all weekend, Palm Springs police said Thursday.
Kirk Douglas Way, between Ramon and El Cielo roads, will be closed from 5 p.m. Thursday through 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Airport Center Drive at Kirk Douglas Way will be closed, beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday and lasting through 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The public can access Palm Springs International Airport via the main entrance at the intersection of Tahquitz Canyon Way and El Cielo Road.
Obama is expected to arrive at midday Friday for a summit of leaders from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations at Sunnylands in Rancho Mirage, and remain in the area until Tuesday.
