Odor Advisory in Effect for Coachella Valley
The advisory is due to elevated levels of hydrogen sulfide gas.

An odor advisory was issued for the Coachella Valley Sunday, reports CBS Los Angeles.
According to CBS LA, elevated levels of hydrogen sulfide gas made the Salton Sea smell of rotten eggs. More than 30 parts per billion of the gas were detected Saturday evening at a reading taken at a monitoring station about 25 miles southeast of Indio.
Predicted winds could carry the stench up the Valley.
