“My husband is a battalion chief with a Long Beach FD, my son Paul is a Bakersfield Fire Dept firefighter and my son Max is a seasonal lifeguard with the Long Beach Fire Dept. I am so proud of them and proud to be a first responder wife, mother and family. No matter the badge we are one family and have a special bond. I’m always humbled as I watch from the sidelines and report on their bravery. It is said heroes are those who serve something bigger than themselves and willing to give their lives to save another ... first responders are the epitome of heroes.”

The Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce Peace Officer & Public Safety awards is the longest ongoing event of its kind in Riverside County.
