Palm Desert Drowning Victim ID'd as Washington, D.C. Woman

The woman died at a local hospital on Wednesday, about an hour after being pulled from a Palm Desert pool.

Authorities Thursday identified a 31-year-old Washington, D.C., woman who drowned in Palm Desert.

Lena Ramadan died at a hospital about 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, about an hour after being pulled in cardiac arrest from the pool of the Casa Larrea Inn in the 73700 block of Larrea Street.

Emergency workers tried to resuscitate her at the scene, Riverside County sheriff’s Deputy Armando Munoz said.

“There are no signs of foul play and all evidence leads to this incident as being a tragic accidental drowning,” he said.
