Palm Desert's McCallum Theatre To Host San Diego Symphony
The performance will be conducted by San Diego Symphony music director, Rafael Payare, with guest performer Pacho Flores on the trumpet.

PALM DESERT, CA — As the historic Copley Symphony Hall at Jacobs Music Center in San Diego undergoes mechanical and electrical upgrades that have forced its temporary closure, the San Diego Symphony is taking its performances on the road for the winter-spring 2022 concert season, offering 31 performances of classical and contemporary masterworks and chamber music from January 15 through May 28 — including a stop in Palm Desert.
Presented as its “Hear Us Here” season, the San Diego Symphony will come to the McCallum Theatre March 2 for a 7:30 p.m. performance thanks to Palm Springs Friends of Philharmonic and sponsor The Barbara Fremont Foundation.
The performance will be conducted by San Diego Symphony music director, Rafael Payare, with guest performer Pacho Flores on the trumpet. The Symphony and Flores will perform the works of Andrew Norman, Johan Baptist Georg Neruda, Paquito D'Rivera and Tchaikovsky, according to organizers.
