Palm Desert's Public Art Documentary Series Continues
Popular Art film series' 10th season continues with free screening of Visual Acoustics.

From the City of Palm Desert: Palm Desert’s 2018 Public Art Documentary Film Series continues on Thursday, February 15 with a free screening of Visual Acoustics.
Narrated by Dustin Hoffman, Visual Acoustics celebrates the life and career of Julius Shulman, the world’s greatest architectural photographer, whose images brought modern architecture to the American mainstream. This unique film is both a testament to the evolution of modern architecture and a joyful portrait of the magnetic, whip-smart gentleman who chronicled it with his unforgettable images. A question and answer session with John Vuksic, Principal Prest-Vuksic Architects, will follow the screening.
The documentary film series is presented by the City of Palm Desert Public Art Department and the University of California, Riverside Palm Desert Graduate Center. All films screen the third Thursday of the month, January through April, at 6 p.m. in the auditorium at UCR Palm Desert, 75080 Frank Sinatra Drive. Each screening will include a featured speaker who will answer questions about that night’s film. Admission is free, but reservations are recommended.
