From The Palm Springs Dog Park: The Palm Springs Dog Park behind City Hall will close for four weeks beginning Monday, March 26 for essential repairs and maintenance – and will re-open again on Monday, April 23.

In the meantime, a temporary off-leash park for large dogs will be available in Demuth Park in the area of the former batting cages behind baseball fields 7 & 8. In addition, a separate park for small dogs will be available on the east end of Demuth Park on the corner of Vella Road and Mesquite Avenue, across from the Palm
Springs Animal Shelter.

The temporary parks will be open seven days a week from daybreak until dark. “The City of Palm Springs and our Parks and Recreation Commission are pleased to once again meet the needs of our animal lovers by providing secure temporary dog parks while needed maintenance is performed at our widely used park behind City Hall,” said Vicki Oltean, Director of Parks and Recreation. “We encourage everyone in need of a safe place to walk their pooches to take advantage of the temporary locations at Demuth Park.”
