Palm Springs Power Season Promises Palm Desert Connections

Power features a former PDHS star, and this years COD home run king.

The Palm Springs Power are set for the 2011 season, and this season features a few local connections. 

Nick Baker, a 2010 graduate of , signed with the Power for 2011. Baker, a freshman at Chico State, posted a 9-2 mark with an 4.06 ERA in 12 starts for the Wildcats. He also helped the Aztecs to the CIF baseball title last year, and was named CIF Division 4 Player of the Year. 

1B/LHP Jose Garcia was the final player signed for this year.  Garcia, a COD Sophomore, lead the Roadrunners in home runs this season.

The Power open the season Friday night hosting the Casa Grande Cotton Kings.
