Palm Springs Aerial Tramway Reopens
The tramway closed Sept. 7 for annual maintenance.

PALM SPRINGS, CA — The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway will officially reopen Monday after about a month of annually scheduled maintenance.
The tramway closed Sept. 7 for annual maintenance to reposition track ropes, change pendant ropes and test mechanical and electrical systems. Doors were initially scheduled to reopen Oct. 4, but weather issues and problems acquiring replacement parts caused a one-week delay, according to company officials.
The tramway will reopen with the first tram up at 10 a.m. and the last tram down at 9:30 p.m with tram cars expected to depart at least every 30 minutes.
