Man accused of attacking Flock camera contractor in Palm Desert expected in court today (kesq.com) — A Palm Desert man is accused of attacking a contractor working on the city's Flock license plate reader cameras, slashing tires, damaging equipment, and making violent threats before being arrested nearby. Deputies later reported finding evidence of additional camera vandalism and intrusive recordings, and are urging anyone with information or concerns to contact the Palm Desert Sheriff's Station.
   

2. Palm Desert Road Rage Leads to Pursuit and Jail Sentence (nbcpalmsprings.com) — A road rage confrontation near Cook Street and Gerald Ford Drive in Palm Desert escalated when a driver allegedly brandished a handgun, then fled deputies, prompting a pursuit. Investigators used a Flock camera and license plate data to track him, and he's now sentenced to over two years in Riverside County Jail.
   

3. Coachella Valley Lakers Announce Inaugural Season Schedule (patch.com) — Palm Desert's Acrisure Arena will host the Coachella Valley Lakers' inaugural 2026-27 G League season, with 24 home games starting November 6 against the Salt Lake City Stars. Local fans can look forward to matchups with regional rivals and even a two-game visit from Mexico City, giving the Coachella Valley a new home team to rally around.

Living Desert Renews Certified Autism Center Designation (nbcpalmsprings.com) — Families in Palm Desert can expect a more inclusive visit to The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens, which has renewed its Certified Autism Center designation. Staff have completed updated autism-focused training, and the zoo offers sensory bags, noise-canceling headphones, and other accessibility services, supporting the wider Greater Palm Springs autism-friendly effort.
