Possible Homicide Victim ID'd; Woman's Body Found In RivCo Home
While the 19-year-old's cause of death was not disclosed, homicide detectives responded to the Oasis scene.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA – The Riverside County Sheriff's Department confirmed the identity Tuesday of a 19-year-old Indio woman found last week at a home in Oasis, near the Salton Sea.
Wendy Perez was found just before 8 p.m. Thursday at a home in the 88000 block of Avenue 70.
"Just a couple days ago her life was taken away unfairly, she was only 19," said a relative, who launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist with funeral expenses.

Investigators have not disclosed the cause of her death, but Central Homicide Unit investigators were summoned to the scene "based on the deputies' evaluation of the circumstances," said sheriff's Sgt. Wallace Clear.
