PALM DESERT, CA (October 10, 2019) – Palm Desert’s free Fall Concerts in the Park continue on Thursday, October 17, at 6 p.m. with a performance by the 90s Rock Show.
Attendees are invited to relive their 1990’s memories during an evening of flannel-filled fun featuring hits from some of the decade’s greatest grunge, alt-rock, and pop-punk artists performed by world-class musicians, including a full string quartet, surrounded by state of the art sound, lighting, and multimedia. Enjoy songs by Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Green Day, Blink 182, Radiohead, Beck, Collective Soul, Smashing Pumpkins, Sublime, The Foo Fighters, Goo Goo Dolls, Oasis, and more.
On stage at the Civic Center Park amphitheater from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Palm Desert’s Fall Concerts feature a variety of talented musical acts. Upcoming concert series performances include the Rat Pack favorites from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. performed by The Pack (October 24); and a Halloween grand finale featuring Dead Man’s Party, the perennially popular Oingo Boingo Tribute Band. The City thanks Desert Recreation District and Burrtec Waste and Recycling for their support of this year’s Fall Concert Series.
This year’s concert series includes the debut of a beer garden at Civic Center Park offering brews curated by La Quinta Brewing Company. Fall Concerts also means the return of food trucks to the park where concertgoers can sample mouthwatering mobile culinary creations. Attendees are also encouraged to bring picnic baskets, along with their blankets or lawn chairs, to enjoy the shows. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited with the exception of the offerings inside the beer garden and smoking is prohibited throughout the park.
Civic Center Park is located on the northeast corner of San Pablo Avenue and Fred Waring Drive. For more information, please call 760-568-1441.
