Riverside County Property Tax Assessments Due
Deadline for property tax payments now less than one week away.

Riverside County residents were reminded today to pay the first half of their annual property tax assessments in the next seven days to avoid penalties.
In October, the Treasurer-Tax Collector's Office sent out 904,000
secured property tax bills. The first installments are due on Dec. 12.
``We would encourage people to make payments before the deadline,'' said
county Treasurer-Tax Collector Don Kent. ``We don't want people to have to
incur a penalty.''
Delinquent taxpayers will be required to pay a 10 percent late fee.
