The desert sky filled with a misty white glow after Wednesday's rocket launch.

PALM DESERT, CA — Residents across the Coachella Valley looked up into the night sky Wednesday to see the Falcon 9 rocket launching Starlink satellites.
Avriel Ogawa caught sight of the rocket launch while visiting the Shadow Ridge Resort in Palm Desert. You can see the rocket streaking over the palm trees in what we named Patch's Palm Desert photo of the week.

Just after 9 p.m. Pacific Time, Falcon 9 launched 15 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, according to a news release. This was the 10th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched NROL-87, NROL-85, SARah-1, SWOT, Transporter-8, and now five Starlink missions.
