SUV, Semi Hauling Oversized Mobile Home Collide, Stall I-10 Traffic
Eastbound I-10 at North Gene Autry Trail was slowed after a Jeep and semi-truck collided.

PALM SPRINGS, CA — All eastbound lanes of I-10 have reopened after an SUV slammed into a tractor-trailer hauling a mobile home on Interstate 10 in Palm Springs Tuesday, but it was unclear whether anyone was injured.
The collision happened just before 9 a.m. on eastbound I-10 at North Gene Autry Trail, according to the California Highway Patrol. Lanes were reopened shortly before 11 a.m., according to CHP.
The Jeep impacted the semi, towing a mobile home trailer, and ended up underneath it. The extent of injuries were unclear.

Palm Springs Fire Department crews were sent to the location and provided treatment at the scene.
There was no immediate word on whether anyone was taken to a hospital.

CHP officers shut down at least two eastbound lanes and the Gene Autry entrance ramp while the wreckage was removed. As of 10:15 a.m., the lane closures had been lifted, but the ramp was still closed.
CHP would continue to investigate the crash.
