Swing N' Hops Returns To Palm Desert
El Paseo will be closed between San Pablo Avenue and Larkspur Lane for the free celebration.

ALM DESERT, CA (January 30, 2020) – Swing N’ Hops kicks up its heels in Palm Desert on February 8, making a fun-filled return to the El Paseo for its fifth year as a Palm Desert First Weekend featured event.

Held from noon to 5 p.m. the family friendly street party combines live music, craft beer gardens, gourmet street food, classic games, vintage cars, and more. El Paseo will be closed between San Pablo Avenue and Larkspur Lane, for the free celebration that transports guests to a time when swing was king.
The Swing Cats Big Band, famous for their Disney performances as well as setting the musical stage for Palm Desert’s Independence Day Celebrations, will provide live music. To inspire everyone to get in the swing, the band will play danceable tunes from the 1940s to today with minimal breaks, ensuring a nearly non-stop soundtrack.

Partygoers of all ages will enjoy classic games, including a giant versions of Twister and chess, along with an outdoor bowling alley. A crafts station will engage and entertain young and old.
Another highlight of the event is a vintage car display with immaculate automotive works of art that will inspire memories and a bit of envy.
Swing ‘N Hops attendees are encouraged to revive the glamour of times past by wearing fun, vintage fashions representative of the 1940s through the 1960s.
