VIDEO: Triumphant Roddick Praises American Rival

In an American tennis showdown, Andy Roddick trounced James Blake in a straight set win, 6-3, 7-5.

But after Sunday's match at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, Roddick, an Austin, Texas native, said he is good friends with Blake, who hails from New York.

“He’s someone that I always cheer for,” Roddick said.

Roddick moves on to play Tampa native John Isner in the fourth round.
