Valley's First Outdoor Ice Skating Rink to Return to Rancho Mirage Following Successful Debut

The Renova Rink at the River drew 10,000 skaters in its inaugural year.

RANCHO MIRAGE, CA - The Coachella's Valley first outdoor ice skating rink, which debuted at the River Shopping Center in Rancho Mirage last fall, will return to the desert later this year following a successful inaugural run, it was announced Wednesday.

The Renova Rink at the River drew 10,000 skaters in its inaugural year, leading organizers to announce that the attraction would make a return to the River.

"The Renova Rink was the first large-scale attraction and seasonal event held at the River," said Tammy Perezchica-Pshebylo, director of marketing and programming at the mall. "The enthusiasm and turnout for The Renova Rink demonstrates that this central Valley location is perfect for events and activities. We're excited to be bringing it back for the community and for our valued tenants."
