'Very Lulu': Sweet Kids' Book Released By Palm Desert Author

PALM DESERT, CA —Palm Desert author Stephanie Campisi has released her newest children's book "Very Lulu."
"Very Lulu" is based on the true story of the media sensation Lulu, a black labrador who dropped out of CIA bomb-sniffing school, finding her calling instead as a family pet.
"A heartwarming and funny tale, based on a true story of a dog named Lulu who learned that the best job is being yourself!" according to reviews. "Lulu is training to be a police dog. But while the other dogs sniff out clues and follow orders, Lulu likes to run, play, and chew things instead. She’s different from the others—she’s just very Lulu!"

Campisi is an Australian-born author, "who writes humorous things involving strange characters and stranger plots."
Her other books include "Luis and Tabitha," a tale of "an alley cat who has everything figured out . . . until he meets Tabitha, a beautiful indoor cat," and "The Ugly Dumpling," a "multicultural picture book about friendship and self-acceptance," according to the author's bio.

The book is illustrated by Jessica Gibson and published by Sourcebooks.
Copies of "Very Lulu" can be found in bookstores nationwide, with signed copies in the Palm Desert B&N.
