White Party 2017: 30,000 Expected At 'World's Premier Gay Dance Festival' In Palm Springs

PALM SPRINGS, CA - With the 28th annual White Party, North America's largest gay dance music festival, set to kick off this weekend in Palm Springs, City Councilman J.R. Roberts will present White Party producer Jeffrey Sanker with an official proclamation from the city Thursday.

Sanker is set to accept the proclamation Thursday afternoon at the site of his star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars, in front of Lulu California Bistro on the corner of Palm Canyon Drive and Arenas Road.

The presentation will be immediately followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony on Arenas Road, "the gateway to the LGBT community's nightlife," according to White Party organizers, where Sanker will cut the Chamber of Commerce's symbolic white ribbon, signaling the beginning of White Party 2017.

White Party will include numerous parties throughout the city between Friday and Sunday, including the Splash pool party at the Renaissance Hotel, Papa Party, Military Ball and more.

Around 30,000 people are expected to attend.
