Eisenhower Medical Center In Palm Springs Earns Another 'A' In Report (patch.com) — Palm Springs residents can take pride in Eisenhower Medical Center, which has earned another “A” grade for patient safety from The Leapfrog Group, marking a full decade of top scores. The hospital is among 113 in California to receive the highest rating, helping place the state 10th nationwide for the share of facilities with an “A.”    

2. 1 Year After Bombing, Palm Springs Clinic Breaks Ground On New Building (patch.com) — Palm Springs neighbors are seeing a powerful step toward recovery as American Reproductive Centers breaks ground on a new building nearly a year after a devastating car bombing at its original clinic site. City leaders joined clinic staff at the Indian Canyon Drive location, where construction is expected to finish by year’s end with full operations planned for 2027.

Palm Springs composting fines never issued, subcommittee member says ⋆ The Palm Springs Post (thepalmspringspost.com) — Palm Springs’ Sustainability Commission subcommittee is questioning why promised fines for composting violations have never been issued, even as the city pushes stricter waste rules. Members also floated banning plastic water bottles at city-permitted events like VillageFest and Palm Springs Pride, and creating a voluntary “resource smart” badge to reward greener short‑term rentals and tourism businesses.    

4. Home sale prices drop in April in Palm Springs area (desertsun.com) — Home prices across much of the Coachella Valley, including Palm Springs, slipped in April compared with last year, even as Palm Springs and Palm Desert saw sales jump more than 25%. The story also explains how upcoming Federal Reserve decisions and interest rates could shape future local housing demand and prices.

Palm Springs Shelter Dog Dominic Competing for National Makeover Contest to Support Adoption Efforts - (pstribune.com) — A Palm Springs Animal Shelter dog named Dominic is vying for a national grooming makeover title that could bring up to $10,000 to support local adoption and grooming work. After arriving severely matted, Dominic’s transformation made him a finalist in Wahl’s Dirty Dogs Contest, and residents can boost his chances by voting all month on TikTok.
