1 Dead, 1 Injured In Early-Morning Crash On Hwy 101 Ramp

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA – One motorist died and another suffered major injuries this morning when their car crashed into a tree in San Mateo, California Highway Patrol officers said.

The crash was reported at around 2:11 a.m. on the East Third Avenue off-ramp of northbound U.S. Highway 101. The involved vehicle is a four-door BMW, CHP officers said.

A Sig-alert was issued when the off-ramp was closed to traffic at 2:52 a.m.

No further information was immediately available.
