2015 Palo Alto Community Health Fair
FREE Health Fair by City of Palo Alto, YMCA, and Stanford @ Mitchell Park Community Center Saturday, Sept. 26 from 9:50am to 3:00pm
City of Palo Alto partnering with YMCA, Stanford Children’s Health, Stanford Health Care, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, and Palo Alto Chinese School to host the FREE 2015 Palo Alto Community Health Fair on Saturday, September 26 from 9:50am-3:00pm at the Mitchell Park Community Center.
Stanford physicians are scheduled to discuss topics like heart health, juvenile diabetes, knee pain, aching joints, and nutrition. Participants can ask questions during Q&A sessions and talk privately with physicians during one-on-one sessions. Palo Alto Mayor Karen Holman will kick-off the event with a brief overview on healthy living in Palo Alto. Other activities include a non-profit open house where attendees can learn about local health services, interactive exercise demonstrations for all ages, and hands-on art activities.
The goal is to connect the community to expert physicians and local health services in an informal and interactive setting. Attendees will learn about common health issues among children and adults, including the latest treatment options and preventive measures. One-on-one sessions will allow attendees to interact directly with physicians in a private setting and ask questions about their personal health issues.
