3 East Palo Alto Juveniles Detained As Burglary Suspects

Stolen goods allegedly were found in the suspects' car during a Skyline Boulevard traffic stop, police said.

HILLSBOROUGH, CA – Hillsborough police said Monday three juveniles from East Palo Alto are suspects in three burglaries in Hillsborough.

The suspects riding in a black BMW were detained Friday around 1:20 p.m. after a traffic stop on Skyline Boulevard just south of Chateau Drive.

Police found property stolen from a recent burglary in Hillsborough and gloves, hooded jackets face masks and prying tools in the vehicle, Sgt. Patrick Aherne said. The stolen property was returned to the owner.

Police believe the juveniles were planning to commit another burglary when they were stopped, and they are suspects in a burglary in the 800 block of Darrell Road and at least two others in Hillsborough, Aherne
said.

Police are seeking information about burglaries in other jurisdictions, Aherne said.
