UPDATE: Palo Alto Police Nab Suspects Who Fled On Foot After Car Hit Bicyclist

Police officers in Palo Alto searched the neighborhoods south of downtown for suspects who fled on foot from a major injury collision.

UPDATE at 6:50 pm 3/17/17:

As of 6:20 p.m., three suspects were found hiding in a shed within the police search area, and were taken into custody.

No additional suspects are at large, and the search has ended. However, the investigation is still ongoing, according to Palo Alto Police.

PALO ALTO, CA -- Police officers are searching the neighborhoods south of downtown for suspects who fled on foot from a major injury collision.

Officers have two in custody now, and are searching for two to four additional suspects. The suspect vehicle struck an adult bicyclist in the 200 block of Homer Avenue. The cyclist is at a local hospital with major injuries.

Officers are conducting a K-9 search for the outstanding suspects, and a police helicopter is assisting in the search.
