• Menlo Park rejects state accusations, says it followed law in handling of Willow Road high-rise project (paloaltoonline.com) — A major high-rise proposal on Willow Road, right on the Palo Alto–Menlo Park border, has sparked a sharp legal clash between Menlo Park and the state Attorney General over housing laws and project eligibility. City officials argue the 39‑story mixed-use plan is too commercial and too luxury-focused to qualify for streamlined approval, while the developer and state threaten lawsuits and fines as a potential new buyer quietly emerges.
