Founder Kaajal Tiwary established Diesel’s FootPrint in memory of her dog, Diesel, who lived with multiple chronic illnesses for nearly eight years. Drawing from that experience, the organization provides support in three vital areas—all directly funded by every ticket and sponsorship to Wags & Wishes:

• Financial assistance for ongoing veterinary treatment 

• Cooperative care training to help pets experience necessary medical care with less fear and stress

• Therapist-led support groups for people managing the emotional and practical demands of long-term caregiving

Why We’re Here

When a dog or cat is diagnosed with a chronic condition, care is not limited to a single veterinary bill and may continue for months or years. Depending on the diagnosis and required treatment, annual veterinary costs can range from $2,500 to $7,000. With the right medical care, many of these pets can live full lives.

This ongoing commitment may include medications, specialist appointments, diagnostic testing, and other treatments, creating financial, practical, and emotional challenges for families. With your support, more pets can receive the care they need and experience the best possible quality of life.
