Coronavirus Crisis Ends Palo Alto Retailer’s 40-Year Run

PALO ALTO, CA — An upscale Palo Alto apparel store is ending a 40-year run do to the economic impact of the coronavirus.
Patrick James President Patrick Mon Pere, Jr. announced the store’s shuttering of its Town & Country Village store at 855 El Camino Real in a Facebook post last week.
“It’s with a heavy heart that I write to inform you that after many years of serving the Palo Alto community in Town & Country Village, we are forced to close our Palo Alto location due to the continued loss of business that has resulted from COVID-19,” Mon Pere said.

“This is particularly painful as I have such fond memories of visiting the Palo Alto store with my father to interact with the crew and customers, and for many years it was our top store.”
Mon Pere said the company will continue to serve customers at other locations and online.
