Easter Bunny Comes to Stanford Shopping Center

Stanford Shopping Center is hosting its annual Easter celebration festivities!

Stanford Shopping Center is hosting its annual Easter celebration festivities, offering families the chance to participate in traditional and unique seasonal events

The Bunny Photo Experience begins Friday, March 24 at 10 a.m. and runs through April 15. Kids will have the chance to visit with the Bunny and take home a treasured snapshot of the fun occasion. Shoppers can save time and avoid the line by reserving their magical moment with the Easter Bunny online at http://simon.noerrbunny.com.

The center’s Caring Bunny™ event will follow on Sunday, March 26 and Sunday, April 2 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., offering families that have children with special needs a subdued environment to participate in the Bunny Photo Experience.

Caring Bunny, the largest program of its kind, has been developed by Simon and is guided by AbilityPath.org, a national online resource hub and special needs community. Over 90 Simon® properties will host the Caring Bunny this season and Autism Speaks is providing promotional assistance. Many steps will be taken to reduce sensory triggers, creating a more comforting environment for children’s cherished visit with the Bunny. The subdued environment is likely to include:

  • Turning off in-mall music and dimming the lights for the duration of the event.
  • Eliminating queue lines through the use of a numbering system.
  • Special activities during the ‘wait’ period to help the child understand what activities will occur during the visit.

“We love hosting family-friendly experiences and we always look forward to watching children interact with the Bunny at Easter,” said Julie Kelly, director of marketing and business development at Stanford Shopping Center.

Kids and families are also invited to join Stanford Shopping Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 1 for an Easter Eggstravaganza to welcome spring. During the event, kids will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with goats, chickens, bunnies and sheep with the arrival of the Little Explorer’s Petting Zoo.

The event will also include giveaways, in-store activities and a center-wide egg hunt at participating retailers, including Alex and Ani, American Girl, GAP Kids, La Baguette, lululemon athletica, Pottery Barn, Go Fish Poke Bar, Gymboree, Amour Vert, See’s Candy and more (while supplies last). Children and parents can grab their baskets and check-in the day of the event at Center Pavilion between Macy’s Women’s and Tiffany & Co.

The sponsor for the 2017 Bunny Photo Experience is Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, which is celebrating the highly-anticipated release of “Sing,” available on Digital HD March 3 and on Blu-ray DVD March 21. Guests who visit the Simon Easter Photo Experience will receive a fun-filled activity sheet, a custom Sing holiday headband and watch highlights from the movie.
