Visit Vin Vino Wine in Palo Alto this Friday or Saturday for a special tasting! This tasting features eight new arrivals, four 2008 Bandols and four 2008 Châteauneuf-du-Papes. Though geographically proximate, the vintage is starkly different in the two districts. The 2008 Châteauneufs are lush, soft, easy-drinking reds, good-to-go young and priced to move. See page 3 for tasting notes and prices. The 2008 Tempiers, on the other hand, are epochal. They’ll make any Tempier fan swoon. Bandol’s Mourvèdre-based cépage ripened to perfection in 2008. Tasting hours are between 11am and 8pm on Fridays and 11am and 7pm on Saturdays.
